Impending Doom, anyone?

Impending Doom is a California-based band that performs music that at least sounds like death metal. (Think Cannibal Corpse and Obituary.) However, the lyrics to Impending Doom’s music are oriented towards God and Christianity.
 
I have listened to some of their songs. Deathcore just isn’t my cup of tea. I’m very picky when it comes to music. I like the fact that their lyrics have an uplifting spiritual message, which is sorely lacking in the metal genre.
 
I’m thinking Cannibal Corpse and Obituary, but nothing is coming out of the memory bank. Are these well-known band?

Well, tomarin, Cannibal Corpse appeared in the Jim Carrey movie Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.
 
I haven’t listened to a lot of their music but I do like it. I gravitate toward Demon Hunter and Becoming the Archetype for Christian Metal.
 
I’ve listened to them before, I don’t have a strong opinion on their music

I’m more of a Rammstein and Ghost kinda dude. Affector is a great christian band though, got some bangers. Death metal, or the more grunge-like genre is sort of headache inducing. What with all the growling and what not.
