How important is the permenanent diaconate? I’m considering becoming one after I’m done with college and I have gotten married. How much is this possible additional vocation of mine needed?
There is always a need for laborers in the vineyard. And there are many ways to help our parish. I wouldn’t necessarily base my decision whether or not to be a deacon on how important or needed it is. It’s an individual calling that requires discernment.
I acknowledge and respect that the Church has decided on the permanent diaconate. However I dislike it. And I’m my limited experience with deacons it’s used poorly in some areas.
True. I should be one if I feel a call and I honestly do like the idea of being one. I’ll have to God about it. That is very good advice brother or sister.
