I have to read this document slowly to digest all the information. It’s a very thorough document showing the connections (“the harmony”) between the OT and the NT.
“Savior” in the OT, “Savior” in the NT
":covenant " in the OT, “covenant” in the NT
“new covenant” in the OT, “new covenant” in the NT
prayer (OT) vs prayer (NT)
etc. Temple, liturgy, spirituality, Law,
The Pontifical Biblical Commission spent years putting this together, and the results are first class. There are tons of scripture references and hundreds of footnotes, to underpin the various observations they make.
There are strong linkages between the OT and NT writings; the NT is dependent on the OT (notice they’re BOTH in “the Bible”).
God still has a covenant with the “chosen people”
This document is free for download. I burned it on a CD had it printed at a local print shop for around $8.
There are numerous typographical errors in the current document, which I have submitted to EWTN at viewer@ewtn.com.
