Please pray for me and my husband. He got bit by a spider last week and we have been to the dr 3 times since then and we haven’t nailed down just what it was or how to treat it. So far the antibiotics and vicadin are not helping w/ the healing or the pain and he is having to miss work and class.
He is on a short leash at work anyway and has no paid time off, as well as on warning w/ his teachers. We both work full time and are preparing for our 2nd child this Christmas (the first one is just 14 months old). Our medical expenses are piling up and we are going to be hard pressed to save to pay our bills during my maternity leave since I do not have enough PTO saved up for the entire 6 weeks.
Feeling very anxious about our expenses and worried for my husband’s job - also school since we are paying for it ourselves. Please, God, this is his third and most sincere attempt at school and I don’t him to get defeated and discouraged.
Thank you and God Bless, JLC

You all have my prayers. I really feel for you. I’m “mr. tightspot”. Seems I’m always in a jam of some kind, esp. with health. I had cancer four years ago and could not work for quite a while. The Lord saw me and my family thru it. We had checks come from church’s we didn’t even go to. He’ll take care of you no matter what happens. Don’t worry, Keep praying!, Tim

You and your family are definitely in my prayers. I will offer up my Rosary for you today. :byzsoc:

From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Psalm 32 (33)

The Lord provides

Rejoice in the Lord, you just: it is good for the upright to praise him.
Proclaim the Lord on the lyre, play his song on the ten-stringed harp.
Sing a new song to the Lord, sing out your cries of triumph,
for the word of the Lord is truly just, and all his actions are faithful.
The Lord loves justice and right judgement; the earth is full of his loving kindness.
By the Lord’s word the heavens were made, and all their array by the breath of his mouth.
He gathered the seas as if in a bag, he stored up the depths in his treasury.

Let every land fear the Lord, let all the world be awed at his presence.
For he spoke, and they came into being; he commanded, and they were made.
The Lord confounds the counsel of the nations, throws the thoughts of the peoples into confusion.
But the Lord’s own counsel stands firm for ever, his thoughts last for all generations.

Happy the nation whose lord is God, the people he has chosen as his inheritance.
The Lord looks down from the heavens and sees all the children of men.
From his dwelling-place he looks upon all who inhabit the earth.
He moulded each one of their hearts, he understands all that they do.

The king will not be saved by his forces; the abundance of his strength will not set the strong man free.
Do not trust a horse to save you, whatever its swiftness and strength.
For see, the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, upon those who trust in his mercy,
hoping he will save their souls from death and their bodies from hunger.

Our souls praise the Lord, for he is our help and our protector,
for our hearts rejoice in him, and we trust in his holy name.
Lord, show us your loving kindness, just as we put our hope in you.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.

Praying for your family,“BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD”,put all your trust and faith in THE LORD.:blessyou:

Thank you for all of your prayers. I finally got his wound cleaned out this morning and I have a feeling that between that and the new antibiotics, we will see healing over the next week. We had our priest over last night to give him the annointing of the sick and as a bonus, he threw in a house blessing.

Sadly, my husband has decided to drop all but one class. He is too overwhelmed by this last week and his set-back w/ homework. I was afraid this would happen, but hopefully we will be able to get a full refund (we’ll appeal if we have to) and get his books credited back and that should help our finances a little.

Please continue to pray for him that the medicine will work in healing his foot and the pain will subside. Also, he will be busting his hump at work next week to make up for this week. In addition, he is applying for a job that will pay about 40% more than what he’s making now - a little scary since it will require him to be on the road about 50% of the time. Just praying for God’s direction with work and school.

Thanks and God Bless.

Praying for you both
:signofcross:
Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.
Amen.
