Bad things, terrible things have happened within the framework of laws, supernaturaly inspired or otherwise.
Yes but thank heavens we are in an enlightened age where we have shook off the shackles of silly superstitions like “moral truths”.E.g. the aztecs were as a society convinced that it was moral to sacrifrice children to tlaloc. So they believed in some moral “truth”.
Children are being offered up everday to ascience beliefs, why should they cling to it?Yes but thank heavens we are in an enlightened age where we have shook off the shackles of silly superstitions like “moral truths”.
So, since we do not think we have to offer children as a blood sacrifice, what moral truths should we cling to, and why?
Can’t really answer your question regarding a moral truth, right and wrongHow much of an impact does a belief in moral truth, right and wrong, effect the way society develops? If a society is nihilistic in its cultural and ontological understanding, are bad things more likely to happen.

However, I do know an universal truth. It is – The human person is worthy of profound respect.
Really?Without revelation and grace, is human respect really known or a universal explainable?
It’s a lot harder to deduce than you would think.![]()
Forgive me my dyslexia; that last sentence was pretty bad and my sentances may be a little funny no matter how much I revise them.Really?
Were your born to rape pillage and murder without being told not to do so?
Granny, that the human person is worthy of profound respect is a moral truth. Moral truth, ontologically speaking begins first with the fact that existence has objective moral value; or rather its nature is as such that it has a value which people discover or do not discover or do not care about. Our knowledge of the true moral value of a human person is meaningless without the recognition that a persons life has intrinsic and objective moral value; and that they obtain this value according to the type of nature they have in reference to the ultimate nature of reality. Can’t really answer your question regarding a moral truth, right and wrong
