Something I deal with a lot when talking to pro-aborts is that they are always undeniably for contraception. Then they start telling me how great it is and how the people getting abortions are people who don’t use it.

Not true. Look at the sources. Every time someone give me statistics that supposedly prove that, I find it is indirectly coming from Planned Parenthood.

Here’s a little secret. Planned Parenthood IS The Allen Guttmacher Institute. They are the largest “researchers” of birth control information -they also sell birth control. Hmm…unbiased?

Allen Guttmacher is a front organization for PP, so that they can take statistics from a supposedly “other” source and use them for thier purposes. PP founded AGI, and continues to give them millions of dollars every year.

It’s all right there on the annual reports.

The fact is AGI NEVER says anything Planned Parenthood wouldn’t want people to think. They wouldn’t dare risk losing thier millions in contributions. Most of thier info comes straight from Planned Parenthood’s baby butcher shops.

So if you ever come acrossed B.C. information, check the fine print and know who it’s coming from.

Can’t be that big of a secret, considering Alan Guttmacher was the second president of Planned Parenthood, the immediate successor of Margaret Sanger.

Anyway, I do like to use AGI’s stats in my favor, when I can. It’s satisfying when you can say, “Really? Rape and incest are the reason for 10% of abortions in America? But the Alan Guttmacher institute, the statistics arm of Planned Parenthood says that it’s 1% or less!”

There is a former abortionist who is now pro-life, (I forget his name), but he was active in NARAL when it was pushing the legalization of abortion before Roe v. Wade. He says they just made up all the “statistics” about women dying from illegal abortions to try to change public opinion on abortion.

And you’re right about people for abortion also being for contraception. They see abortion as their back-up in case their artificial contraceptive fails.

Would that be Dr. Bernard Nathanson?

Sgt Sweaters:
Thanks for finding that link. I heard him speak on the radio one day. He is now Catholic. His story and “Jane Roe’s” conversion stories inspire me that God has heard the prayers to end abortion, and He wants to save the souls on pro-abortion side while He does this.

We need to keep praying for the people involved with Planned Parenthood and the Alan Guttmacher Institute. And as abortion is connected to the contraceptive mentality, I think our prayers should reach even beyond abortion and go to the source of the problem. I think we need to pray for those who contracept too.

Well said. Does anyone know why the last president of PP resigned? I know that she did but I can’t find anything saying why?
