I had a friend (Catholic) that said from this verse that Our Jesus was a drunkard and it was alright to drink Alcohol. ( LIKE FERMENTED Wine)

True or false?

Hi,

False! The context for Luke 7:34 shows us that Jesus is commenting on the fact that some people will blow things out of proportion regardless of how one acts or speaks. John the Baptist lived a very severe life, and didn’t drink wine and people said that he had a demon. Jesus lived a more conventional way of life and drank wine, and people called Him a drunkard.

This doesn’t mean that He was a drunkard any more than John had a demon. He did drink wine and used it at the Last Supper. Fermented wine was the only wine they had. It wasn’t until the twentieth century that a way was found to preserve grape juice.
