**In Our Shells
**
Feeling hurt, worried, or scared and wanting to hide?
Feeling isolated from everyone and cringing inside?
Just wanting to crawl up and tremble in your shell?
Just feeling awful inside and not going to get well?
At times like this, we can look out of our inner shell,
And ask loving Jesus to come to help make us well
For He understands just how we feel deeply inside,
And in our hearts He wants to forever loving abide.
Jesus shares in all our pains, fears, and sufferings;
He takes all of our many hurts as sacrificial offerings;
He fills us with his deep and perfect loving compassion,
Helping us feel better however miserable the situation.
Jesus is our strength, our fortress, and our endurance;
His merciful love provides us with great assurance,
Provides us everlasting hope, provides us inner comfort,
And brings us his unlimited always present support.
So whenever hiding in our shells, remember Jesus,
Who will fill us with his deep love and comfort us,
Who will always stand with us whatever we face,
And loving guide us towards the most Heavenly place.
