In what way were you Baptized?

I hear the Russian Orthodox use vodka, hence the split from the Catholic Church.

We strongly encourage parents to do the preparation as soon as they find out they’re having a baby. The longer they wait, the more “things that need to be done” crop up to compete for their time.

Hmm and interesting dilemma now occurs in my state. My state now allows the baptismal certificate to substitute as an official legal document. Thus the Church won’t perform the baptism (a regularly scheduled one) without first having the birth certificate, because they cannot put incorrect information on the baptismal certificate. (Like the man who is married to the mom is not the father of the child or etc). This might not be much of a problem in this state, but in NY, we did not get the certificates until the baby was over 2 months old, and then I had to send both back for errors and then it was another 3 weeks. I really hope this isn’t a problem because I prefer to get my kids baptized around 4 weeks.

This of course doesn’t prevent the preparation from occurring before birth, but it could prevent the baptism in the first few weeks. :hmmm:

I don’t remember my baptism, as I was an infant, but I would assume it was by pouring. So that is how I voted.
 
I would be interested to hear from whoever voted for partial immersion as I have never met or heard of this happening.
