It may not be illegal, but if one patronizes a criminal instead of the owner of the content, that person becomes a cooperator with evil.
 
A collaboration with evil in the sense that he donates money to uploader and sends messages like: “add more videos please”?

If the video is on YouTube, it may very well be monetized through ads, which means infringer will be financially rewarded for his crime. That is problematic even if he never uploads anything more again.

That said, most major content creators (film studios) regularly scour the internet for such infringement if they care and the hosting service will take down the offending video. So it generally is not a problem.
