Where does the Church stand on Sthapatya Veda or Vedic Architecture? I read about it in a magazine. I’m interested in it but also worry about “building a home according to Natural Law.”

I guess the guru you’re referring to is Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, located currently in Iowa. Vedic architecture seems like Yoga: maybe you can practice it, without adding the specifics that related specifically to Hindu beliefs. What does the structure of your home have to do with worshipping Hindu deities? Nothing at all, really. If Yoga can be Christianized, then, I suspect, so can Vedic architecture.

It’s funny you mention him. Vedic City Iowa is pretty close to where I live in West Des Moines. They offer vegetarian restaurants (whoopee!) and classes on Transcendental Meditation. One of these days my wife and I are going to drive down there and see what it is all about. There’s also a newly built Hindu temple here in Iowa.
