Just thought I would bring attention to a movie that has been in release only here in Canada until now. It is going to be coming to the USA now.
Based on the novel by late Richard Wagamese, “Indian Horse” tells the story of Saul Indian Horse, who is taken to Residential School where he learns to play Hockey.
I won’t give the rest of the plot away nor the sad and in my opinion disappointing ending, at least regarding one of the characters of the film.
Having seen it, it’s a powerful film and beautifully made! As a Catholic I would say the experience of watching this is similar to the feeling of watching “Spotlight, at least during the scenes In Residential School.
For information on the film: http://www.indianhorse.ca

For information regarding the residential schools from a Catholic perspective: https://www.catholicvoices.ca/issues/indian-residential-schools/
God bless!
