Would this be allowed to stand here if it was an image posted to represent a Roman Catholic? Or a Latin attending a Ruthenian parish?
Or an ex-Greek Catholic now a Roman Catholic?
You are Simply Too Offensive for words.
Play the “is outrage” card and then go on to insult me if you wish.
Then take a look at the context - do you get the pop culture reference?
Unfrozen Cave Man Lawyer would go into court acting disarmingly naive and then, having warmed up the jury with his charm of “I just don’t understand, I am just an unfrozen cave man…” Would launch into multi-million dollar demands for punitive damages…
And I see this playing out here. In another forum the OP is posting two days before he posted this about how he is anxious to learn how he will be recieved into Orthodoxy - on december 23d he was wondering if he would be rebaptized or not.
On Christmas day he is posting
As Eastern Catholics, are we expected to belief in Indulgences and a Treasury of Merits as expressed in Latin theology. The reason I ask is that I have never heard of them and I know they are absent from Orthodox theology. The term “merits” is likewise absent from all Eastern expressions of faith…Thank you for your help…
Curious also that you did not post the context - sharply editing aroudn the photo.
BUT, I have run into a number of ex-Greek Catholics turned Orthodox who have used internet forums to ask disingenuous questions that were pointed and polmeic while playing “dumb”… “Unfrozen Caveman ex-Greek Catholic” comes to mind…
That there was confusion and minsinformation that “scared and confused” (a la fire) seems odd. When they were Greek Catholic, did they not know who their bishop was? Are they unable to find out what is taught?
But if you were to put it into context, playing the exasperated “Is outrage!” card would not have been as easy or brilliant sounding I suppose.
I am not ex-Greek Catholic like you - I am still proudly with my church - to insinuate I am a Roman because I am not an Orthodox… Can I borrow a play?
Is outrage!
You are Simply Too Offendable for discussion.
