Inexpensive Daily Breviary

I am looking for an inexpensive daily breviary. As a Protestant layperson, I intend on using it for Lauds, Matins (readings), vespers, and compline. I’ve been able to find the liturgy online but want to have a breviary to take to work or use as a backup in case my internet is down. Hurricane season is a reality over here on the east coast. Any suggestions? I cannot justify spending more than $40 on my current budget. My family is mostly protestant and wouldn’t likely be willing to get me one as a gift.

Here’s what I use! It should do the trick, just don’t get it wet. 😛

If you use a tablet or smartphone, you can download IBreviary for free
 
Since you don’t appear in a rush, keeping your eye on eBay would probably help you find what you were looking for.

You might also try Breviary or LOTH Facebook groups.

If you didn’t need Matins, a Monastic Diurnal would suit your needs. They are smaller and usually less expensive than Breviaries. Lancelot Andrewes Press has a very nice one but at $65 are a little above the price range you desire.

You can download the day’s LOTH texts by tapping on the icon with the circular arrows in the upper corner of the app’s home screen. If you go to the app’s downloads screen by tapping on the icon with the gear-shapes in the upper right of the app’s home screen, you can also download seven days of LOTH texts.

In addition to the daily LOTH texts, the iBreviary app also gives you the daily Mass readings.
