Yes - this is a good point. And I have used the PM versions to help me sleep for years, and Aleve on a daily basis for extended periods (and even at prescription levels) for joint pain.

I don’t believe that anyone here was thinking that a one time use was an issue, though I could be wrong.

I just realized I read the pp wrong. But still, we have to be really careful if we are TTC.

I take Aleve for about 2 or 3 days every month during my period, because it is the only thing that helps with my cramps. I also am newly married and we are using NFP to avoid a pregnancy currently. Does taking Aleve during your period still affect your fertility? If a couple is avoiding during their fertile time, should the woman still avoid taking Aleve? Even though we are currently avoiding pregnancy, I of course do not want to cause any harm to my fertility or to a possible baby.

So is Aleve only something to worry about when trying to conceive, or is this something every married woman should not use (like birth control)?

I would suggest consulting with a good Catholic physician to ask these personal medical questions - I don’t think anyone here is qualified to give medical advice, and it is prohibited by the forum rules. I only posted my original comments in a general way and not intended to personally advise anyone.
