infinite God

I read Fr. Hardon’s comment that Thomas Merton and Karl Rahner never believe there is an infinite God. If that’s the case, what else can Catholics learn from their teaching/thinking?

Not having read much of Merton or Rahner, I can’t really say much about Fr. Hardon’s comments about them. Judging from your link, he seems to think that Merton’s views tended toward the “new age” type of thinking, and that Rahner was enamored of “centering prayer,” and that neither of them intellectually held to an absolute view of God which would match the initinite qualities asserted by, say, Thomas Aquinas.
