Hello!

Beyond what is offered online and the classics from Alcuin Reed and Adrian Fortescue, etc, are there any more theological perspectives and information on Tridentine Rite? And if so, any name of specialists or places where they still do research on this subject?

Thank you!

I’m not sure what you mean by theological perspectives on it, but there are four very good books on it that I’d recommend based on what I’ve heard and read.

First, there’s “Nothing Superfluous” by Fr. James Jackson FSSP:

Next, an older more classic book is “An Explanation of the Holy Mass” by Dom Prosper Guéranger. It’s a bit small and has the Ordinary of Mass so you can carry it with you to Mass:

There’s “Treasure and Tradition” from St. Augustine Press which has lovely pictures:

And finally there’s the very recently published “The Traditional Mass: History, Form, and Theology of the Classical Roman Rite” by Michael Fiedrowicz:

I hope at least one of those books is along the lines of what you’re looking for.
