Hi Everyone. I am wondering if anybody could recommend me any books, websites, or information on any saint, priest, or religious brother or sister that started out as someone who wasn’t really with God, and they suddenly felt the call without any previous prayer, church, etc.

Hi Everyone. I am wondering if anybody could recommend me any books, websites, or information on any saint, priest, or religious brother or sister that started out as someone who wasn’t really with God, and they suddenly felt the call without any previous prayer, church, etc.

St. Augustine certainly writes his heart out in “Confessions.” I have yet to read it, but it is basically his autobiography. Before becoming one of the greatest thinkers of Christian antiquity, Augustine of Hippo lived a very sinful and immoral life. “Confessions” is a testimony to the struggles and experiences of his life.

I have heard it is a great book. I will try to read within the next few months.
