I found it to be a quick, easy read about how a good Catholic can quickly become addicted to porn/sex. It talks about how it infects his marriage with lies and betrayal and about all the self loathing it causes him. It shows how the fantasy of porn becomes more important than reality and how an addict often lives a double life…church going man to community, porn addict in secret.
Patrick Carnes, an expert in sex addictions, is quoted towards the end as to how all addicts have “faulty, core beliefs” about themselves and goes on to list them.
To recover, an addict needs an integrated model of therapy including individual therapy, group therapy such as Sexaholics Anonymous, and a strong spiritual program with frequent reception of the sacraments.

There is also a website listed that I haven’t seen before today that looks really good called www.unityrestored.com.
