If a mortal sin is stated using a general term for kind like “impure act” without qualifying it further, then does it render the sacrament invalid? Or should the sin be confessed more accurately in a future confession, much like how forgotten sins are confessed or the proper number of occurrences?

No, but a confessor may ask for additional information to maybe understand a bit better the circumstances or offer some advice, which must be provided.
