Just paraphrasing your sentiments and judgments placed on people you deem not Catholic enough for your tastes. You’ve readily condemned and judged people as cafeteria Catholics and are quick to label and discredit. I disagree with your approach and find it lacking in facts but quick to throw down accusations and negative labels. Show me where I’m wrong. Questioning my sanity is a bit much, don’t you think? I may disagree with you and find your point of view condescending and nasty, but I sure don’t view you as insane. Kindly extend the same courtesy…

“why me”, I was thnking about leaving this forum, and I have been avoiding your posts since you used to get upset during some debates.

BUT, now I think I will stay on the forum and make some more discussion topics, thank you for re-energizing me.

And I will not be avoiding you any longer, if I do ignore one of your posts, it is because I currently have other things to do or I don’t think a reply is neccessary.

I will also be reporting you everytime you violate forum rules.

Anode, the problem I have demonstrated is that people are drawing on very anti-Catholic information, some of it conjectured. I was thinking last night about people pointing out such things that are not objective, and totally malign my church. They refuse to acknowledge any good.

So looking at the heart goes both ways…a good heart seeks the truth about others.

As a participant on the mormon threads I have also taken this position about the mormons and the lds church. But the antimormon catholics do not seem to understand it. We can not be hypocrites here. Catholics on the mormon threads constantly draw their information from antimormon sources, paste it, post it and expect mormons to defend their church. And yes, a lot of this information from the antimormon sites are conjectured too. And where is the objectivity? And they do malign the lds church. And they refuse to acknowledge any good about the lds church.

I find it amazing that there is such a double standard among the catholics. I have said it many times that catholics need to understand that all churches have skeletons in the closet and need to treat others accordingly.

Catholics who attack other churches must play fair and allow the same rules that they have set for themselves: post from antisites and expect others to defend their church because of it. And use conjecture as proof.

I am not violating any forum rules. I am making responses from what other posters have said. I think that it is a good teaching lesson for you and for others. You can not have it both ways. Attack other faiths by using the means you are now lecturing against and then start mormon threads with the same intent as anticatholic posters. There needs to fairness and not hypocrisy.

I have stated it before: the same anti strategies can be used against all faiths. I feel sorry for the mormons who need to defend their faith from antimormon sources. But likewise I feel sorry for catholics too. But when antimormon catholics expect different rules to be enforce when someone posts about problems in catholic history, rules which they themselves use against mormons etc, well, I just find that amazing.

I know that it hurts answers, but you need to take the same mediciene you give the mormons and begin to have empathy and more charity toward them because of it.

And of course, the report button is a wonderful threat. But not very charitable.

The OP has legit concerns. And these concerns need to be discussed through dialogue. But we also need to understand that sources used will not be from catholic sites. We just need to play fair and not set different standards for others.

I’m not hurt at all, because you are misrepresenting all of my Mormon discussion topics.

You said “power corrupts”, your Mormon leaders are very powerful so you just criticized them “why me”.

The big difference is that Mormons claim ongoing public revelations that are supposed to be followed by ALL Mormons.

You are comparing apples to oranges.

And I hope everyone who is familliar with your agenda REPORTS YOU EVERYTIME you break the forum rules.
