Sorry. I just didn’t want my issue to carry on since I was getting panicked (not to mention the next time I see a priest will be in about a week.) I feel when I ask my questions here, it puts my mind more at ease because people provide me with their (usually rational) take on it, or at least some other ideas to think about. Hope you can understand.
You might want to find a confessor who understands how to minister to someone with OCD–I mean a priest you will accept understands this, so that when he gives you instructions you don’t like, you won’t doubt that you ought to do as he says. What he says may not always be what you want to hear, but you’ll at least know he understands how you may hear him differently than some other penitent would hear the same feedback.

I understand that it’s tough. But the temporary relief is bound to implode. Like scratching chicken pox. It feels good for a while, but the underlying problem gets worse. Please speak to a priest. And, like Mtatum said, make an effort to find a regular confessor.

You, and many others here, may mean to help. But when Scrupulosity is at play, it can very easily make things worse.
