Can anyone provide a list - an OFFICIAL list, if possible - of Institutes of Apostolic Life?

There are not really that many societies of apostolic life in the Church compared to the amount of religious congregations
I can give you a few----
Maryknoll
Glenmary
Paulists
FSSP
Daughters of Charity
Missionaries of Africa
Oratorians

there are probably only about 20 in the entire church—I don’t know where an official list would be???

Try the Catholic Encyclopedia or the Catholic Almanac. I think that the word ‘institute’ is all-inclusive of orders, congregations, etc. and that there are therefore a lot of institutes. Over 300 in the US for women.
