This is weird, and hard to explain, but I’m confused, and I’ll try my best.

Recently I’ve been having this feeling that I have lost my sense of identity and personality.

I feel like everything I say or think is robotic and that I’ve sort of had a problem integrating Catholicism into my life to make me more alive, instead it feels like I’ve been on a sedative.

This, I’ve realized, is not a healthy way to approach the Love of God. Love should make you feel good and safe to express yourself.

The thing is sometimes my sense of humor, maybe, or my opinions, my own real opinions are not always ‘good’, and I don’t know how to make them ‘good’ so that they are authentically my own.

Does anyone else out there feel this way? Have you experienced the opposite? Do you really feel more alive in your faith? Could anyone give me pointers on how I can Integrate the Catholic Faith into my life more effectively?

I’m not 100% sure if I’m understanding you correctly but sometimes I struggle with my Catholic identity and living authentically as a Catholic, and realizing that faith and real life are not separate. I want to be Catholic first in every part of my life but sometimes it feels unnatural - I am just not quite sure what God wants me to do, or I am afraid of what God is calling me to do- and that makes me hesitate and feel robotic in a sense. I think for me it comes from needing more trust in God- to just let go and focus on God and be docile to the Holy Spirit. Constant reminders to listen to God’s voice throughout the day, receiving the sacraments frequently and spending more time in personal prayer really have helped me
