Unlike the Orthodox, Protestants are more than just in schism. The the majority of them are also heretics. The ones in Heresy believe in sola-scriptura, sola-fida, and deny the validity & necessity of the sacraments. Not to mention they deny the real presence of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament. Why not? Protestants are not evil. They simply succumbed to a schism. They’ll be back some day.
I have no problem with Jews, I married one. We have a two year old daughter. My wife is squeamish about teaching her about Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny; let alone teaching anything about Christ. There is a Nativity Petting zoo coming to my Parish and my wife doesn’t want my daughter to go simply because it’s at a Church. But with all the “tension” (for lack of a better word) I will never give up being a Catholic. I will continue to focus on me and do what I can to plant seeds with my daughter and wife. God willing, they will both fulfill God’s plan for them (whatever that might be).Why is that? Jesus was Jewish.
a dispensation would work well if all other impediments are cleaned up (I was not aware that the OP was divorced).I don’t think a dispensation would work in this case…too many impediments.
