I’m not sure how many of you may be familiar with this resource, but it is a tremendous resource organized by the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome.

The website of the Interdisciplinary Encyclopedia of Religion and Science is edited by the Advanced School for Interdisciplinary Research (ADSIR), operating at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, Rome, and directed by Giuseppe Tanzella-Nitti. The documents and services presented are intended to meet the growing need for qualified and accurate information on the relationship between theology, philosophy and scientific thought. The website is principally addressed to those who teach in schools and universities, promote pastoral initiatives for the Christian evangelization of culture, or those who are interested in the interdisciplinary aspects of scientific research.
It’s a great website with articles by Catholic Scientist-philosopher/theologians on a broad range of topics from evolution to genetics and everything in between.

They always have a cool little blob about an important scientific advance made on this day in history - for today, November 19th, 2017 we have:
1889
The American astronomer Edwin Powell Hubble was born in Marshfield. With the observations he made at Mount Wilson, he was the first to suggest, in 1929, that the laws of light-distance throughout the galaxy demonstrated that our universe has been expanding. This discovery, together with the subsequent discoveries of cosmic background radiation at 3°k and of the abundance of the same throughout the cosmos, would become the principal observations on which modern cosmology would establish the theory of the “Big Bang,” which, rightly or wrongly, has stimulated a good part of the debate between the scientific view of the universe and creation theology.
