Interesting words of encouragement 'from' Jesus

I was feeling a bit yucky about myself today, as a mom, and as far as my productivity goes. I think all Moms have bad days. The day just slips away and you think “What the heck did I do with my day?!” Then…

I got a phone call from a very close friend.
She was in Adoration today (in a city where I used to live) and felt very strongly that she had to give me this message:

“You are a good wife and mother. I love you and I am proud of you.”

She felt very strongly like it was a message from Jesus.
Now, I am NOT saying He appeared to her but the timing was very interesting considering my day and what I was feeling.
(And might I add that I have a wonderful friend to be even thinking of me during Adoration!)

My day got so much better after that because I was feeling so down. I wanted to share this experience and wanted to know if anyone has had a similar one?

Yes, similar things have happened to me on many occasions. I’ve been on the receiving end and the giving end as well. When you’re on the receiving end what a joy it is to know that God is speaking to you through a good friend. It’s also happened to me at work (I work in a mainly protestant Chrisitan bookstore). I have had perfect strangers come into the store and tell me that they felt the need to tell me to be encouraged, God hears my prayers, once someone told me that God is pleased with me.

Now to be on the giving end…it’s like you got a gift for someone that you just are so excited to give to them but at the same time you have doubts as to just how well they may or may not receive it from you. I’ve had people start to cry and hug me because what I felt I had to say was really what they needed to hear. I thanked God for allowing me to be his voice for those who may not have been able to hear him in other ways.
