I’ve recently started attending weekly Mass again after falling away from the Church for a few years. I’m married to a non-Catholic and our children have had no experience with anything Catholic until a few weeks ago when I invited them to come to Mass with me. At the sign of peace at this Sunday’s Mass my 8 year-old son whispers to me, “I like your religion, Dad. It makes me feel good. Like I’m at home.” I couldn’t hold back the tears because it really is good to be back home again. I should never have fallen away and should have shared my faith with them but at least they’re now at an age when they can comprehend something like liturgy.

I have a few things to take care of before I can return to the sacraments and I don’t know how long it will take but I’m happy to be back and happy that my children are responding positively.

Wow, how beautiful that you’ve come back to the Church. Welcome home. Neither you nor I have any idea how happy Jesus is that you’ve returned. May the good Lord bless your soul, the souls of your children, and your spouse’s. I will certainly pray for you.

Again, let me say: welcome home. :heaven::hug1:

That’s wonderful!!

God bless you and your family!

Enroll him in Sunday school in the fall. He’ll make some cool friends too.
God bless. Welcome home.

Welcome (back) Home, we missed you! 👋 I hope everything works out soon for you and you can again receive the sacraments; Jesus is waiting for you in the Eucharist.

Thanks for your kind words. I do try to spend more time in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament.
