A nephew read Aquinas in Fifty Pages and now wants a more substantial introduction, something between the watered down basics and overly technical and academic, before reading Aquinas directly. I think it’s a good idea because I dove right in the deep waters and read the Summa Theologica directly without any introductory material for the basics and really didn’t understand much of it. He’s looking for a physical book, nothing online including courses. I would recommend Peter Kreeft Summa of the Summa but am not sure if there is a better place to start. Any recomendations? Thanks.

Dr. Edward Feser’s “Aquinas” is a good one that I’d recommend.

Summa of the Summa is the best in my opinion. I haven’t really read any others. I was very satisfied with Kreefts work.
