Introduction to the Rosary (basics and history of)

Could the kind Forum members post some good links or titles which contain a brief but
good introduction, or reintroduction, to the Rosary?

We are leading a men’s retreat this weekend where about 30 adult men (majority, but not all Catholic) will be, hopefully, growing in their faith journey. I know in the past there are all types of faith levels, so I am looking for something that is not too heavy on Theology but also not so simple that it bores adults.

We’ll have about 15 total minutes (5 minutes each over three days) to speak to them about the Rosary, it’s importance and significance. Before we pray the Rosary each day.

I found a brief introduction and history on EWTN but I am sure you all have your own favorites.

Here’s a little something:

The Rosary–a beautiful prayer. Our Lady presented the Rosary to Saint Dominic in 1170. It has been the source of tremendous piety and obtaining powerful gifts from God. To journey through the life of Christ and his Blessed Mother is gift we should do as often as possible.

Way back when, people said 150 Hail Marys and 150 Our Fathers. At that time (?) there were more mysteries, a lot more. The Luminous mysteries added in are not actually new, but were “resurrected” from the past by the Pope, I don’t remember which one, sorry.

I find that the website www.rosary-center.org gives very inspiring reflections.If this could be projected on a screen when the Rosary is being recited it will prove to be an ideal meditative prayer.
