What if you know that you marriage is invalid. (I know most people will respond with “you can’t know that”). But really if you look at what the church teaches and evaluate if your relationship with your spouse had the right ingredients upon saying your wedding vows, one can say with good certainty that their marriage was valid or invalid.
I say all of this because my spouse and I are miserable with one another and I can’t help but think (I know a very terrible and negative thought) that my marriage is invalid and that God would not want me in an invalid marriage. Even as painful and terrible as divorce is and would be.
How do I get rid of these thoughts of thinking my marriage is invalid, I’ve talked to my pastor, I’m praying daily, I don’t know what to do.
