At 10:00 am on Thursday 16 June, the University of Western Ontario will give Dr Henry Morgentaler an honorary Doctor of Laws at Alumni Hall in London Canada.

There will be a silent protest. The silence symbolizes the inability of the unborn to vocalize their pain at the hands of the abortionist. The silence symbolizes the complicity of the apathetic. The silence minimizes the occasion of conflict with pro-abortion bystanders.

For those of you who prefer to pray, there will be a Rosary, although you may have to organize this yourself.

Signs will be available for those who wish to say something.

Please wear black armbands to symbolize the period of mourning ongoing and constant for those human beings who have died as a result of abortion.

Those coming will include Right to Life, Campaign Life Coalition, and Show the Truth.

Those not coming are Judy Rebick and her pro-abortion demonstrators. They will demonstrate separately on Wednesday. There will be an augmented security presence.

Americans are most welcome and, since it is your Notre Dame President who is being dragged into this, we would like you to be there.

Please meet outside Alumni Hall at 8:30 am. Parking is free at Althouse Teachers College on Western Road just south of Sarnia Road.

It is very hot, so bring three litres of water per person, a parasol or hat, and sufficient whole food (carrots, fruit, trail mix) in a small back pack. Also bring paper and pens in case you make friends and want to correspond.

Directions are in the next post.
