Hello! I recently went to a Search retreat and I can say this with total confidence: that weekend was the best I’ve ever had. I love the experience so much that I want to share it with a friend of mine, should I attend the next one if I can go as a team member. However, my friend isn’t Catholic. She believes in God but doesn’t attend church hardly at all. I think she would be open to the idea of going, but I would love to hear any advice you have on how to invite her.
One other hurdle is her parents. They are, in blunt honesty, overprotective. I don’t think it would be a big deal because the retreat is not out of state and it’s only for a weekend, but they may have an issue with her not being able to have her cell phone with her for the duration of the time there. (There are two emergency contact numbers to call at any time but I’m not sure if they’ll find that comforting enough… That was also a bit of venting so if nothing can be done about the parent issue I understand that.)
Thank you for taking the time to read and reply! God Bless!
