Guest
Rufus (date unknown), hermit and possibly a bishop. He lived as an eremite in the area of Glendalough, County Wicklow, Ireland, which became a leading monastic center in the country. In some lists he is given the rank of bishop.

Feast day: April 2.

Pray for us and our Holy Father in this hour of his need.

Dear Donnchadh and all,

Lives of the Celtic and Old English Saints by daily E-mail

For about 5 years I have been putting out a daily e-mail with the Lives of the Celtic and Old English Saints. Most of them are taken, cum permissu, from Kathy Rabenstein’s marvellous Saints web site at Saint Patrick’s cathedral.

Anybody wanting to receive the daily e-mail with the Lives of the day can
  1. subscribe on the web site or
    groups.yahoo.com/group/celt-saints
OR
  1. subscribe by sending a blank e-mail to
    celt-saints-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
Please spread the word.

Fr Ambrose

fathers, God, the comforter of all good, will be your helper.
