Tassach (Asicus) (d.c. 495)

Bishop of Ireland and one of St. Patrick’s first disciples. He was a gifted artisan, creating for St. Patrick croziers, patens, and chalices. He was later appointed the first bishop of Raholp (now Down and Connor), County Down, Ulster, Ireland, and gave Patrick the last rites.

Feast day: April 14.

I speak a little though not as much as my great-grandfather. I will post the URL for a couple of great resources. The first is absolutely the best because it has a forum and the people there will translate for you, plus it has excellent resources for the home.
