Irish people: what about IUDs?

I have been educating myself on Irish abortion politics. I have seen that IUDs are freely available in Irelands is the morning after pill. Since there is a constitutional provision equating the right to life of the unborn child to that of the mother, does this mean that a consensus was reached in Ireland that pre-implantation a child does not exist? And what was the Church view on this?

LOL! I’ll take a stab at it - “eating” = equating.

A human organism exists prior to implantation, but governments don’t always base policy on science . . . or ethics, for that matter.

And what was the Church view on this?

From the Catechism:

2270 Human life must be respected and protected absolutely from the moment of conception. From the first moment of his existence, a human being must be recognized as having the rights of a person - among which is the inviolable right of every innocent being to life.72
