I’ve read the Catechism of the Catholic Church, so I know what the Church’s official stance on homosexuality is (i.e. it’s an ‘objective disorder’ that cannot be condoned under any circumstances), but would a gay person’s actual soul be condemned to the inferno by God himself, or is God’s judgement one of those things that none of us are meant to predict/assume?

Just like the rest of us sinners, the homosexual person needs to turn with their whole heart to God, trust in His Mercy, & believe in Him.

Homosexual actions are grave enough to warrant Hell, but we cannot presume God’s final judgment on any individual person.

If the homosexual person dies in a state of mortal sin, they would be condemned to hell. If the homosexual person dies in friendship with God, they would be welcomed into heaven.

There is not another set of “rules” for homosexual persons.

You are adding on to what the Catechism says.

2358 The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God’s will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord’s Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.

[2359] Homosexual persons are called to chastity. By the virtues of self-mastery that teach them inner freedom, at times by the support of disinterested friendship, by prayer and sacramental grace, they can and should gradually and resolutely approach Christian perfection.

The adverb “objectively” also is used in the English translation of the Catechism when speaking of the sin of attempting marriage (after civil divorce) outside of the Church and of contraception.

The adverb is defined in the English language thusly:

in a way that is not influenced by personal feelings or opinions.

"events should be reported objectively"

in a way that is not dependent on the mind for existence; actually.

"the physical world we think of as objectively true"

“Objectively disordered” means something is contrary to the natural order and is disordered even if your opinion or feelings tell you it is not wrong.

Even a thing that is “objectively disordered” does not rise to the level of mortal sin if the other conditions for mortal sin are not met.

Only God knows who goes to hell and who does not. Homosexual actions are enough to send someone to hell, but God is merciful and humans are not to say who goes to hell or who does not.

ONLY if these actions meet the other conditions where they become mortal sins.

The only sin that condemns a person is impenitence. Every other sin is forgiven.

The gay person’s soul would not be condemned to hell just for being gay. It is their sexual behavior which puts their soul at risk according to Catholic (and, in general, Christian) belief. Still, they, as all others, have the opportunity to seek forgiveness and make an effort to change their immoral behavior. The G-d of infinite mercy, however, is the final arbiter in such matters.

The above is, I think, the teaching of the Church. It is not necessarily my own belief.

The catholic church condemns no person to hell. In those last moments of their life there is also no way for us to know what is going on between the person and God. If they were to make a perfect act of contrition in those last moments, then we have faith and believe that God is a caring and forgiving God.

Yes.

This does not mean that there are special rules wrt mortal sin for homosexual persons. The three conditions still apply.

Let’s deal with the question in the title of the post: “Is a homosexual person condemned to Hell?”

Of course not!..Homosexuality, or same sex attraction is not a sin…acting on the attraction, that is performing homosexual act is, because such acts are outside the sacrament of holy matrimony.

Therefore, why would not a similar question be asked, “Is a hetrosexual person condemned to Hell?” Again, there is nothing sinful about being a hetrosexual. However, hetrosexual acts outside the context of the sacrament of holy matrimony (i.e, premarital sex or adultery) is sinful.

Now, taking into account the fact that sex outside of marriage is sinful, to both the homosexual and the hetrosexual, we must return to the part of the question asking if those who partake in sinful sex outside of marriage “condemned to Hell”?

Anyone who claims to answer affirmatively or negatively has their own issue to deal with, as judgement is reserved to the Almighty, anyone making judgement on another themselves, are usurping the authority that is only God’s!

Why would you choose this to ask about?

ALL mortal sins (no matter what type they are) will send you to Hell if you die unrepentant.
Second, all of us have until our dying breath to repent and be saved.
