FWLIW, I agree with MorEphrem. There’s nothing wrong with a little sarcasm, as long as it’s in its place. And IMHO I tend to think here it was misplaced. Perhaps it might help to re-read the thread title and the original post itself. The OP was asking about a familial blessing, which has nothing to do with the occult. If the people involved are “seeing things” it could well be because of depression, and I really don’t think that’s something to pooh-pooh. It might have been more apropos to suggest the that the people involved see an MD or DO trained in psychiatry before going off on GhostBusters and psychics. Why not add a witch doctor too?
