Is anyone familiar with L'arche?

There’s one location about 20 minutes from me.
It seems kind of ecumenical, though leaning Catholic. Are live-in volunteers able to go to Mass, at least on Sunday? Does anyone make life-long commitments? Can they do that?
Is it theologically OK? It seems almost like a Catholic Worker establishment, but they don’t seem to be into war protests or anything. A live-in for good Catholic Worker bunch that also protested abortion and left-winger domestic wars on life and/or decency would be nice. I’m sure the urban Madonna House places, where people are taken care of, would be like that. Still, as the mentally and/or physically limited are aborted these days as having little quality of life or as a burden too great, working at L’arche would be similar to working at a women’s trouble-pregnancy clinic, but not better than, say, Operation Rescue.
