Has the Church (or the Pope) addressed the scientific idea of the multiverse in relation to the Faith? If not, could you please inform me if it contradicts Catholic teaching with any of its tenets?
The Church has no teaching on the existence of “multiverses.” God could indeed have created multiple universes, there is no intrinsic contradiction. Just as the existence of other planets doesn’t rule out God as Creator, the existence of other universes doesn’t rule out that God created them all.
Whether or not multiverses exist is another question…
