I saw an interview with him on Bloomberg, and he mentioned the importance of religion. After looking it up his wife Belinda is Catholic and their kids are Catholic, but he simply “participates” in Church.

Does anyone know if he is baptized or what?

Some articles criticize him and his wife for supporting contraceptives with their foundation, so apparently she’s not the most faithful in her practice of the faith, but I wonder if Bill is properly Catholic or not.

They might technically be “Catholic”, but actions speak louder than words… I believe their charity supports abortion. No practicing Catholic would support such a grave evil like that.

Also, supporting contraceptives is a sign that one is not a practicing Catholic.

I think it’s been brought up before on this forum according to Google.

I saw some entries on this forum but everything was from a long time ago, I wanted to get recent feedback just in case. I thought it would be easier just to ask people and engage in discussion.

I didn’t know they also supported abortion, that is horrible. For all the people they help in Africa, they also aid in the murder of innocents. What a shame!

This isn’t really true. One can use and support the use of contraceptives and still be a practicing Catholic. How is it any different than any other sin? Just because a Catholic sins, does not mean they aren’t practicing their faith. They are sinners, just as the Church teaches we all are.

You can’t be for something that the Church has always taught against and for the Church at the same time. That’s called living in denial.

Just because the majority of people do something doesn’t make it right. We need to follow God “with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind” not some pick and choose faith buffet.

Exactly, Jesus warns us, the path is wide that leads to destruction, and many are those who take it.
