It’s an Alan Rickman movie.

That’s all that matters.

I’ll date myself by the reference to a column on the difference between republicans and democrats.

Favorite Christmas movie:
Democrats: Miracle on 34th street.
Republicans: It’s a Wonderful Life
Reagan Republicans: Die Hard

🤣 😱

Republicans buy toy guns for their little boys.
Democrats refuse to buy toy guns. This is why their little boys have to steal sister’s Barbie doll to shoot one another.

🤔 😱 🤣

Does that make Poseidon Adventure a New Years movie 🙂

What exactly makes a movie a Christmas movie?
I always figured if Christmas played some significant role in the story - more than just a cameo at the end - then it’s a Christmas movie.

“Die Hard” is a perfectly good Christmas movie.

I’m also thinking of “Let No Man Write My Epitaph”. The whole beginning is a group of people down on their luck celebrating Christmas together. It introduces you to all the characters. The story then moves on. But I consider that a Christmas movie as well.

That’s a good question because Its A Wonderful Life is considered a Christmas movie, but only the last third takes place on Christmas Eve

Christmas movies have to be referenced then reverenced. In order for contemporary Die Hard to be elevated to eternal Die Hard, more Christians would have to verbally fight for a clear consensus and quorum.

Even at the meanest Christmas table, Your Reference Die Hard would defer to Your Reverence Your Grace Die Hard in terms of seating arrangement.

So yes, Die Hard is a Christmas movie tradition.

It’s a movie, I watch around Christmas, set at Christmas time, with a message of redemption. So it’s a Christmas movie.

Precisely.

I think it would be very difficult to come up with a definition that includes all the classics but eliminates die hard.

But, here’s the thing:
Several other people who worked on the movie said it wasn’t.
Maybe, just maybe, that point was to confuse us.

Wouldn’t that be more appropriate for Easter?

It’s a Christmas movie because I consider it a Christmas movie. QED, it’s a Christmas movie! :hugs:😂:hugs:
