Is God the Truth, or is God just a form of the Truth?

I have heard that “God is not the Truth, but the Truth is God.”

What is the Catholic teaching on this matter. Is God the Truth, or just a “product” of the Truth?

God is truth . If God was just a form of truth then that would mean that there would be truth that existed apart from God. Which would mean that God was not omnipotent or omniscient. Since God created all things he is the only one who creates truth. We can only discover it.
