Is her soul gone?

Hi - I have many, many questions regarding my step-daughter who has been in a vegetative state since last April. Since she has no cognition, no thoughts, and no brain activity at all - Is her Soul gone and if her Soul is gone along with her consciousness then where did her Soul go too if she is still physically alive by a feeding tube?

Thank you kindly for trying to help me understand her present existence as well as where her Soul is now.

Hi Lori,

Since she is still alive, her soul is still enlivening her body. Death is caused by the soul’s leaving the body. Right now her body is malfunctioning in that she is not conscious. When ever we are ill, our body is malfunctioning to some degree, but our souls are still present to our bodies.
