I live in Canada!

Thanks everyone for your responses 🙂

What about Good Friday?

Asking because my back hurts and I don’t want to hurt it more before the day of Confirmation!

(P.S. This is Hermione)

Neither Holy Thursday nor Good Friday are holy days of obligation.

O and if your back hurts then even on a holy day of obligation or on a Sunday you don’t have to go to Mass.

Neither day is a holy day of obligation in either Canada nor the United States. But the Triduum is ideally experienced for what it is: one big long liturgy broken into several days.

Obviously if you are not well, you need to decide what’s best.

That would be a neat trick!

Catholics are obliged to assist at Mass on a Holy Days of Obligation, yet there is no Mass to assist at on Good Friday! 🙂

As you know by now, it wasn’t. But after just having experienced the most awesome, most beautiful Mass I have ever been to as a new Catholic, I would have found a way to go no matter what hurt or how much it hurt.

Honestly, I’m sorry you missed it. Do yourself a favor and make sure you go next year. I guarantee you will love it!
In His love,
Rhonda
