Is Invitro okay to do as a Catholic?

Out of charity, my advice is that you let the matter drop between the two of you, she is either being misled or has convinced herself of this lie. Pray for her conversion of heart.

If she is causing scandal or there is a chance she could lead others into sin, speak to your Priest then trust him to do what is best.

not good guys, i mentioned that i think someone is not telling her the whole truth and she got really mad at me. she thought i’d be happy for her but i cant be happy for a sin. I mean i’m happy that someone has a baby but not happy about the sins it involves to make it …im so confused …she tells me they got permission from rome but i really dont understand why the pope would allow invitro? does he do it under circumstances?

You have all the evidence here to the contrary, that it is indeed a sin to use IVF. Perhaps she could produce her “evidence” in the form of the written document that Rome sent to her to OK this. Does it not make sense that there would need to be WRITTEN permission, that the Holy Father and his emissaries did not call her on the phone, and say, “Sure. You just go ahead and do that.”

Now that the baby is “under construction” nobody is going to stop it from being born (even worse sin). Perhaps you need to approach this cautiously and quietly.

She isnt pregnant yet/…she hasnt even have invitro yet. she just told me and thought i’d be happy for her. I cant be happy for a sin nor can i support it. But i can forgive
