Is Ipv6 the mark of the beast?

I know it sounds like a joke, but think about it: All of the Ipv4 addresses are out, and Ipv5 so happened to have been a major flop and is now largely forgotten. This means that in order to continue interacting with the increasingly virtual world, we will have to migrate to Ipv6, which is said to be able to number people as well as networks etc. It seems to largely fall into place, when you consider Ipv5 being essentially skipped (regardless of it’s capabilities) and the fact that Ipv6 being the mark of the beast sounds silly enough to slip right under our noses. Is there an official statement on this? If not, people may have to really consider this as a possibility.

I tend to think the mark of the beast is an internal disposition more than a physical chip or anything like that.

An IP address identifies a computer on a network. However version 4 ran out of addresses so migrations to version 6 are happening.

No. It’s not. Neither are UPCs or credit cards or social security numbers.

The mark of the beast is an indication that one has made a choice to reject God and embrace the world. It’s not something one can accidentally take as part of living in the world but not of it.

Chill.

Exactly - one can’t unwillingly or unknowingly receive the Mark of the Beast. And I tend also to think it doesn’t refer to anything physical.

The number of addresses in IPv6 is ~3.4×10^38. Not related to 666 (or 616) in any form.
