I am a single mom with one child and have been divorced for almost 10 years. I amd currently Methodist and content but I still feel like Im not getting the fullness of christianity. I do believe the catholic church is the one true church and God has shown me that it is. My question is because I am a sigle mom and have been divorced can I convert to being a catholic? WIll the Church let me?

God Bless!

Hi,

Yes, certainly! Since the Catholic Church does not consider the state to have the ability to dissolve a valid marriage and considers you to still be married, you need to live in a celibate way. But there is nothing preventing you from joining. I encourage you to contact a local Catholic parish in order to enroll in classes. You are in our prayers. Welcome home!
