Is it a sin if i took communion before finishing my penitence?

Hello

On Friday i had confession and i received as penitence a number of rosaries. I was not able o finish them by Sunday and i had to split them over a few days. Is it a sin if i took communion on Sunday, even if i still had some prayers yet to say? Is the intention to finish my penitence enough or should i go for another confession?

No, it is not a sin. Your sins were forgiven in confession and you were fulfilling your penance to the best of your ability.
