I’m sure your family mean well but this keep it in the family attitude could potentially do her serious harm.

It doesn’t really matter why she’s decided that her family can’t help (though that’s often a lie the adversary whispers in our ears), but if she’s closed off to that avenue of help and open to speaking with a priest, then let her! Hopefully, your uncle can see the wisdom in that when it’s presented to him directly. The point is to get her help; your uncle putting aside his desire to keep it in the family would be an act of strength in meekness, and I’m sure the Lord would bless that act.
Uncle is convinced she simply doesn’t want to hear the truth, basically his opinion.

The right counselor could bring her round to the truth of her situation and help her deal with it in a healthy way. He needs to put his ego aside and let her get outside help. I’m not a priest and don’t want to try to make claims on whether his behaviour is sinful but it is most definitely harmful to this young woman who is suffering and could get a lot worse without the right help.
